Fred and Claire Mercier built this gem by hand in 1942. This cozy little retreat provides the grace of times gone by. Antique furniture will take you to another era without sacrificing all the modern comforts. There are hardwood floors throughout, a fireplace insert, and a ductless heating and cooling system that both sanitize the air and keep it at exactly the right temperature.

If you enjoy cooking, the cozy kitchen is fully stocked (no dishwasher), and if you prefer more rustic cooking, use the gas grill or firepit.

Our dining table is a great gathering spot to eat, play games, or take Zoom calls. Board games, card games, and puzzles are available to entice your competitive side. The high-speed internet is great if you sometimes have to “work” while playing.

From the picture window in the living room, you can take a few deep breaths at the end of the day while overlooking the ocean and chatting with the family.

Seek respite in the evening in one of the two bedrooms. The master suite has a king-sized organic latex bed, while the queen’s suite is a nest of pillows and coziness.

Unwind at the end of the day in the 40s style tub, with bubbles. There are lots of fluffy towels and robes available for your comfort along with artisanal bath mixes and body washes.

The half-acre lawn is a lovely spot to do yoga, sunbathe, or hang the hammock and enjoy a good book while the waves ebb and flow on the beach. Take advantage of the covered gazebo, comfortable chairs, and lounges, as well as baggo for your gaming delight.

Take your morning coffee on the front porch and watch the hummingbirds feed. At dusk, build a first and meditate as the sun sets over the water. After dark, take out the telescope and star-gaze. Somewhere in between, dip your toes in the water and breathe in the sea air.

This brick cottage has been in our family for 5 generations and we would love for you to experience the restorative peace it provides.
