House Rules

  • No smoking or vaping is allowed in or around the property. Evidence is subject to a $350 fine through the Airbnb resolution center.
  • If you need an early or late check-in, we will do our best to accommodate. Please check with us before booking. We charge $20 per hour for early check-in or late check-out, to shuffle the cleaning schedule around and reach out to our cleaners. It may not be possible if we have back-to-back reservations.
  • If you open it, close it. If you borrow it, return it. If you turn it on, turn it off. If you break it, fix it. If you use it, take care of it. If you make a mess, clean it up. If you move it, put it back.
  • All guests must have traveler insurance on their own for the duration of their stay.
  • Please make sure you add the exact number of guests staying on the property. Insurance requires this.

Pet Policy

  • We do everything we can to keep our home open to pets. We also follow the same rules with our dog. We appreciate finding a home that accepts pets while on vacation, as they are part of our family!
  • No pets are allowed unless otherwise noted with prior approval. Please send us more information about your pet before booking for approval (size, breed, age).
  • An additional deep clean fee will apply if the pet is approved. ($150 deep pet hair cleaning per pet). Also, depending on pet breed and shedding it may be up to $300 per hour cleaners reporting of extra cleaning needed. Your efforts (precleaning) in cleaning up behind your pets will reduce the likelihood of extra cleaning being needed (in the yard and inside the house). This includes vacuuming pet hair from house, dusting pet hair, cleaning slobber from windows.
  • All animals must be housebroken. Our interpretation of this means no pee or poop in the house, preferred in kennels, no pee pads, never any pets on any of the furniture, no excessive barking, no chewing or scratching. You must clean up any yard waste your pet may create and dispose of outside or there will also be a charge associated with waste removal. If your pet has an accident, using our linens and towels to clean this is prohibited.
  • We do not allow pets on the furniture, including beds and couches.
  • We do not allow the washing of your pets inside the house or bathroom. (We can refer you to a local dog parlor.)
  • We ask that no animals be left alone, and in rare circumstances that it needs to happen, they need to be kenneled and no longer than 3 hours. (We can refer you to local pet sitters.)
  • Our hardwoods are old. Pet urine and feces harm them. If they need to be cleaned after your departure, the minimum charge for this is $300.00 and will be requested through the Airbnb resolution center.
  • *Note our caretakers live close by and keep an eye on the property. Any extra people or animals not registered when you booked will be charged.
